日本人が聞き取りづらいポイント
- the minister：弱く読まれる「the」と、/mínístər/ のアクセント位置（mi-NIS-ter）が聞き取りにくいポイントです。
- would be a lot of trouble：「ウッビァロダトラブル」のように音がつながり、省略されて聞こえるので注意が必要です。
- Something is wrong.：/ŋ/ の鼻に抜ける音が弱く、「サムシンイズローン」のように聞こえやすい表現です。
文法ポイント（5つ）
- Only boys played with balls.
「Only＋名詞＋動詞」の語順：Only のあとに主語（boys）が来て、そのあとに動詞（played）が続きます。「男の子だけが〜した」という意味を強調するときによく使う形です。 - If someone found out, there would be a lot of trouble.
仮定法過去：「If＋過去形, would＋動詞」で「もし〜したら、…だろう」という現実とは違う想像を表します。TOEIC でも頻出のパターンです。 - She had to marry a girl called Fuyu.
